What a GREAT SUNDAY

Hi there!

The always-waited Sunday is here. I am happy since every one is at home.On the other hand, please  pray for flight MH370, the passengers and their related families. We hope their families and friends remain calm and strong to face any unfortunate possibilities. God knows best and may He have mercy on us.

I feel like sharing with you some simple dishes today. It is so easy to prepare and I hope you can try it at home.

The main dish is called;

Chicken Thick Curry

Ingredients
1. A whole chicken chopped into small pieces, cleansed and rinsed.
2. Carrots and potatoes cut into pieces.
3. Some curry powder, chilly powder (not to much because we want a spicy dish instead of a hot one), turmeric powder, cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamon seed, cloves and salt.
4. Onions, garlic, lemon grass and ginger. Mince and blend together.

How to?
Heat some oil in the pot and pour in the blended mixture (no. 4). Stir fry and add in spices (no. 3). Mix well. Then add in carrots and potatoes. Lastly put in the chicken and mix well. Close the pot and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken. Please remember to add a pinch of salt to taste!

The second dish is "jelatah"; a mixture of few vegetables or simply known as salad.

Cucumber, red tomatoes and yellow onions are cleansed thoroughly and thinly sliced. Mix it in a bowl. Add in some sugar and lemon or lime juice. You can also add some chopped chilies if you like it.

The last one is our milky jelly grass drink.

Mix together one liter of fresh milk with some jelly grass. Add in some sugar or brown sugar and mix well.
Serve with ice cube and some fresh mint leaves.

Its easy, right? A simple dish prepared with care and love will surely brings out the amazing taste to those who share it.

Try it today and you will know what it means...
