This is my big problem. I want to have a blog and start writing, but I was not "istiqomah" in doing it. Do you have the same issue? Does anyone out there know how to solve this?
I'm kind of having too many ideas locked up in my brain but do not know where to start or which one to start first. Shall I write about my cooking, my studies, my career or my vacations. Ohhh..too many, it seems.
Or shall I share the story about my friend who thought he knows everything in the world. Who is ever-ready to give you an answer to every problem and a quick solution to most of the questions that you could not even complete it. Waaahhh...
Ohhh, I remember last Saturday I went to watch Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies with my hubby and daughter, Irdina. It was a 2-hour movie. I think the producer and director had beautifully created most of the scenes. You know what I meant. Off course they featured some horrible creatures and too violent-scenes , as well. What I meant was they have the most latest CGIs and the superb high-tech technology that they created the scenes to near perfection. Watching it, made you feel like killing when the warriors were killing, sad when they were defeated, crying when two lovers were separated (huhuhuhu), happy when friends were reunited, overwhelmed when you look at the beauty of then hobbits's place and bla...bla...bla...too many.
What else...ohhhhh my. Malaslah.

What a GREAT SUNDAY
Hi there!
The always-waited Sunday is here. I am happy since every one is at home.On the other hand, please pray for flight MH370, the passengers and their related families. We hope their families and friends remain calm and strong to face any unfortunate possibilities. God knows best and may He have mercy on us.
I feel like sharing with you some simple dishes today. It is so easy to prepare and I hope you can try it at home.
The main dish is called;
Chicken Thick Curry
Ingredients
1. A whole chicken chopped into small pieces, cleansed and rinsed.
2. Carrots and potatoes cut into pieces.
3. Some curry powder, chilly powder (not to much because we want a spicy dish instead of a hot one), turmeric powder, cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamon seed, cloves and salt.
4. Onions, garlic, lemon grass and ginger. Mince and blend together.
How to?
Heat some oil in the pot and pour in the blended mixture (no. 4). Stir fry and add in spices (no. 3). Mix well. Then add in carrots and potatoes. Lastly put in the chicken and mix well. Close the pot and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken. Please remember to add a pinch of salt to taste!
The second dish is "jelatah"; a mixture of few vegetables or simply known as salad.
Cucumber, red tomatoes and yellow onions are cleansed thoroughly and thinly sliced. Mix it in a bowl. Add in some sugar and lemon or lime juice. You can also add some chopped chilies if you like it.
The last one is our milky jelly grass drink.
Mix together one liter of fresh milk with some jelly grass. Add in some sugar or brown sugar and mix well.
Serve with ice cube and some fresh mint leaves.
Its easy, right? A simple dish prepared with care and love will surely brings out the amazing taste to those who share it.
Try it today and you will know what it means...

BIG exams
Hi, happy Saturday every one.
Are you a mum whose children is either taking UPSR, PMR, SPM or STPM this year? Or you are a student and will be sitting for one of the exams?
My daughter Athirah and Irdina is taking SPM and UPSR respectively this year.
I have many friends who suddenly will experience constant headache if any of their children are sitting for one of the 'big exams".
I understand that as a dedicated and loving mother, we want the best for our children. We want them to score all As and their pictures and stories will be told in the newspapers! Don't you think that they want it too? Maybe they want it more than us?
Often, we mothers failed to realize that we are caused them stress and fear. Without realizing (maybe) it, we made our children feel that big exams are tough and difficult to pass with great result.
Please be honest to yourself. Have you ever said any of these famous "quotes" to your children?
"You better study hard, or else you will surely fail!"
"This is not easy you know?! Drop everything and just study!"
"You must get all As, otherwise you will embarrass your father and me!!!"
"What shall I tell my friends if you did not get all As? I better off my hand phone!"
...the list, of course can goes on and on.
On the contrary we sent them for extra tuition and private tutors and we bought extra books for them. We thought we are doing our best to help them.
Are we not confusing them? What we said to them simply contradicted our action.
I believe there is only one way to send a positive message and hope for a positive result. We have to convey our message to them in a positive manner.
They know that we are helping them to prepare for the big exams. Instead of saying, "you must score all As, or else...", we can always say, "just do your best, dear, I know you can." And, "I will always pray for your success.", "Please let me know if you need more help in any of the subjects."
Surely, our responsibility does not end there. Help them by showing that you really care. Your action is what matters to them. Regularly (which does not mean every few hours!) check and discuss their school work with them. Tell them with a sincere smile and confidence written on your face but in a relax way, "You always do your best, I know you'll get straight As".
Yup, we want them to get all As but we don't have to inflict fear in their mind. I don't believe it will work.
Just let them enjoy their school days. Help them to get through it (and let me remind you it means 12 to 14 years before they enter varsity). Make them feel that passing exams with great result is an ordinary and simple job for a student. It is a normal thing. Can we mothers just take it that way? We have gone through it and we survived. We succeed, yeah?!
Other than this, just make sure that we feed them with healthy and nutritious meal. Let them have sufficient sleep. And please take them out once in a while either to the park for a light recreational activities or any other rendezvous.
Being a mother of our own faith, please remember to pray to our Creator for His bless and may He have mercy on us. He knows that we mothers only do and want the best for our children.
Let me tell you a secret...
" THEY GET ALL As". Tell them, confidently, every day.

Its just ME
Assalamualaikum and wish you a great...morning?...night?...just let it be.
It has been ages since the first time I thought of having my own blog. I am not sure how I shall go about organizing this blog but I wish those who are kind enough to visit will be patient till I get the correct rhythm.
There are a lot of topics that I would like to share with you. I am passionate about a number of things but I would love most to share with you some inspirational thoughts, the books that I read, cooking (huh?!), fashions (hihihi), travelling but I'm not good at taking pictures, my little and great business ventures and....
Wow...it seems a lot. Just give me time and I will do my best to share some great things with you.
Yesterday I met an old friend. It was a short meeting but we shared some great ideas and stories. Off course, a good laugh, as well. We had chicken rice for lunch. He finished his while I did not. You see...he is in good shape while I'm struggling to shed some pounds. LOL.
I will write in English and Bahasa Melayu, as well. It depends on the topic. If you do not catch what I meant in my writing, then you are always welcome to ask.
My quote for today is, "Life is short. Appreciate it and learn to love, give and forgive".
This is my little darling, Khalef the hafiz boy.
